
Andrew is originally from Burton-Upon-Trent a small town in the Midlands of England, known for being the town of Marmite and brewing Bass beer (now owned by Coors Molson.) Blink when you are on the train and you might miss it!
Upon leaving home Andrew moved up North to Sheffield to study at Sheffield Hallam and received his BA in game design, following that he moved on to the beautiful city of York to complete his masters in post-production sound for film.
In 2016 Andrew met the love of his life Leslie, a Canadian living in England and decided to follow her home. In 2019 Andrew was granted permanent residency, and Citizenship in 2021, and they now live together in Nanaimo.
Since graduating his career has taken him in many varied directions including subtitling, teaching, live events and administration. Bookkeeping and financial reporting was a big part of Andrew’s administration job in the Anglican Church of Canada. Inspired by this, In 2024 Andrew formally completed the Bookkeeping for Small Business program at the University of Fraser Valley and also completed work experience in a local public bookkeeping company. With this experience Andrew has set up Beachside Bookkeeping Services in Nanaimo looking to take all that experience to help local businesses and non-profits with their financial needs.
During his off-time Andrew enjoys thrifting, walking around the beautiful parks and beaches on the Island, going axe throwing, playing board games, spending time at the ocean and exploring the city.
